Our Havanese are home raised and family cared for, as we do not believe in kennels or kennel runs. Our focus is to advance the breed by preserving the classic Havanese temperament and the AKC defined breed form.
We base our repetition on doing breeding the right way. It is our belief that puppies must be carefully bred with genetics and parent health testing that is comprehensive and documented. We take great pride in our dogs and puppies, and we have put together this website not only to showcase our dogs, but more importantly for you, to provide information to help you make an intelligent decision in selecting a Havanese puppy.
It is our hope to raise Havanese of distinction for both championship show and for those individuals looking for the finest Havanese for their family. We are uncompromising in our standards to produce puppies that become and remain healthy dogs in their adulthood. We look beyond the puppy, and so should you as you search for your puppy. Unfortunately too many people let their emotions cloud their reason when it comes to selecting a puppy, and we encourage you to not do this. We are trying to share information and experience with the Havanese breed on our site to help you. Carlita's of Larkspur Havanese are raised with loving care, with self-imposed high breeder standards. With these standards comes the assurance that we will continue to make the monetary investment necessary to achieve these high standards. Our Havanese adults and puppies live in a family environment and are only crated at night for sleeping. Both adults and puppies are played with and socialized to ensure well-adjusted dispositions.
